Little lions, gentle souls
Bred for centuries to be companions, Shih Tzus are happiest wherever their people are.
Temperament
Friendly, outgoing and wonderfully calm. They get along with children, seniors and other pets, and they love a lap.
Size
Small but sturdy, about 9 to 10.5 inches tall. Just right for apartments, houses and travel.
Coat
A silky coat of hair, not fur, that sheds very little. It does need regular brushing and grooming to stay comfortable.
Lifespan
A long-lived breed. With good care, your puppy will be part of the family for many years.
